Immigration Fees
Contact us if you are unsure about any of our fees.
Our Fees
We normally charge on a fixed fee basis. This fee scale outlines our fees for all immigration advice and services. This is a guide only and we would need to know the full circumstances of your case before agreeing a fee. We would agree a fee at the outset, before you decide whether or not to instruct us, so you know the precise fees involved before you commit. We provide a range of fees as, of course, each case is different and we can know how much work is likely to be involved only once we know the full circumstances of the case. Naturally, a more straightforward case would fall at the lower end of the range of fees given and a complicated matter would fall at the higher end. Factors which might add complexity are an adverse immigration history, more unusual personal circumstances, particular urgency, more family members to be included as a dependent applicants, the amount of evidence required according to the facts of the case, etc. Each case would need to be considered on its own facts but we repeat, the fee would be made clear and agreed with you before you agree to our engage services.
Where you have engaged us on a fixed fee basis, should you wish to withdraw instructions part way through your immigration case we will charge you for all work we have undertaken on your behalf at an hourly rate of £250 (plus VAT, where applicable).
VAT
Please note that our organisation is VAT registered. Therefore VAT at 20% will be added to the fees outlined below where applicable, i.e. if you are a resident of the UK or EU receiving our services in the UK.
Hourly Rate
We will charge on an hourly rate of £250, time estimated in advance, where no fixed fee applies (e.g. provision of Advice). Again, this will be made clear to you at the outset.
Dependants
Our fees guide includes dependants but the number of dependants would increase our charge within the fee range where a range is given.
Home Office application fees and disbursements
Please note the fees stated here are purely in respect of our legal fees. Home Office application fees and any disbursements are additional to the fees stated here. We will advise at the outset of any Home Office fees or disbursements which are likely to be incurred and explain exactly what our fixed fee includes.
A disbursement is a fee charged by a third party to provide services, either to us so we can carry out our services or directly to you, e.g. barristers’ fees, postage, search fees. Again, the disbursements involved would be made clear to you before you engage our services. In the course of a case, you would be notified of any previously unanticipated disbursements, e.g. expert report required in light of unforeseen circumstances thrown up by disclosure, before they are incurred and they would not be incurred without your consent.
Description of work included in the fee
Our fixed fees include all attendances and written and telephone correspondence with the client and relevant third parties; all consideration of evidence and advice; consideration and preparation of documents; submission of the application and relevant supporting documents. All photocopying, scanning and postage in respect of preparing the case and submission to UKVI.
Timescales
Again, every case is different, and it is often difficult to account for UKVI processing times, so the timescales given are approximate for a typical matter by Standard Service, from the start of your case with us until the date you are likely to receive the decision on your application. Likewise, the immigration tribunal timescales vary depending on how busy they are at the time and other factors such as availability of courtrooms, judges, etc.
Depending on the type of immigration matter, expedited UKVI application services are available at a surcharge to the Standard Service Home Office application fee and this would cut the time involved accordingly. Again, the services available, their cost and the UKVI service standard timescales specific to your case would all be explained to you at the outset, before you engage our services.
Consultation fee
We offer a consultation service whereby we charge £150 for an hour consultation which will be deducted from our fixed fee in the event you proceed with a substantive matter. Please note consultation with our partner solicitors would be £250 (plus VAT, where applicable) per hour.
Experience and qualifications of the individuals who will carry out the work
Details of the experience and qualifications of individuals who will carry out the work are set out on our website’s Lawyers page. The person/s who would be dealing with your case would be made clear to you at the outset before you engage our services.
